The CONTOUR®PLUS BLUE meter can only be used with CONTOUR®PLUS Test Strips whereas the CONTOUR®NEXT GEN meter can only be used with CONTOUR®NEXT Test Strips. The CONTOUR®PLUS BLUE meter uses smartCOLOR® instead of Smartlight™ technology. The CONTOUR®PLUS BLUE meter uses only CONTOUR®PLUS Control Solution and provides a 30-second countdown to apply more blood to the same test strip and avoid relancing.
The easiest way to differentiate between test strips will be looking at what is printed on the test strip. CONTOUR®PLUS Test Strips have the CONTOUR®PLUS logos printed on the strip whereas the CONTOUR®NEXT Test Strips have CONTOUR®NEXT printed on the strip.
The CONTOUR®PLUS BLUE meter has Bluetooth® connectivity and is compatible with the CONTOUR®DIABETES app, free for download on the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The CONTOUR®PLUS BLUE meter can synchronize and transfer patient data across the app. To learn more about our CONTOUR®DIABETES app, please visit the following web page at: www.ascensiadiabetes.com/products/contour-diabetes-app/
